All Singers Should Sing!
On your Labor Day week-long break, please sing your parts every day. Many of our successful cast members have mentioned that they practice in the car.
You will see above that there is a new page of "Singers' Resources" that provides links to the all songs with chorus parts and ensemble solos. Please take the time to sing with the recordings every day.
Listen to the music for your cues. Did I mention every day?
These recording clips match our vocal score. They are YouTube links and can be copied or downloaded and burned to CD if you prefer. Save the links on your smart phone and then you can review them wherever you have wireless access. If none of this works for you, we can make a CD copy of your songs from the computer at the theater from iTunes.
Also- We have some music-savvy cast members who are willing to help you. Cindy Nelson and Ali Lavanway are experienced musicians and singers who can meet with you if you talk with them and make arrangements. Perhaps a half hour before rehearsal one day soon.... If you admire a fellow cast member's singing, ask him or her to practice with you in the other room during a break or down time between your parts.
The ball is in your court! The Barricade is on your lawn.
All it takes is practice and confidence that comes with practice- but you do have to practice the entrances, timing and notes correctly. Every Day. Really.
There will be no attack tonight. Everybody keep the faith.
